We are currently undertaking a comprehensive land reclamation project on a 10,000m² greenfield site in Newark, previously used for coal mining and subsequently converted to farmland. Our objective is to restore the land to its original levels and prepare it for future agricultural use.
The project commenced with the extraction of approximately 27,000–28,000m³ of material from the same farmland. This material was then transported across the site to areas experiencing settlement, effectively raising the ground levels to match the original contours. This process involved extensive bulk earthworks and upfilling techniques to ensure a stable and level foundation.
Following the regrading, we proceeded with re-soiling the entire site. This step included cultivating the soil to enhance its structure and fertility, preparing it for vegetation. To promote healthy grass growth and prevent erosion, we applied a specialized grass seed mix suitable for land reclamation. This mixture is designed to establish quickly, providing ground cover and improving soil stability.
Throughout the project, we have adhered to best practices in land reclamation, ensuring that the restored site meets environmental standards and is primed for sustainable agricultural use
