Tilbury Docks – Graham

Duration: March 2019- May 2020 (14 Months)
Value: £2.2 Million

On this project, our team undertook comprehensive earthworks to prepare the site for terminal paving and infrastructure development. We commenced with reduced level excavations and subsequently raised levels using imported rock to establish a solid foundation for new road sections. This included the construction of culverts and the installation of a drainage blanket to ensure effective water management. Capping layers were applied to the road sections using imported rock, providing a stable base for future surfacing. Additionally, we excavated attenuation chambers to manage stormwater runoff efficiently. Our team also assisted in the installation of cofferdams, ensuring safe and dry working conditions during construction. The project culminated in the extension of the dock area and the chambers, with the site being capped off using Type 1 MOT material, leaving a clean and level finish ready for the next phase of development.
