Jubilee Gardens, Leyland – Caddick

Jubilee Gardens, Leyland – Caddick

Duration: September 2023- November 2023 (2 Months)
Value: £350,000

We recently completed earthworks for a new care home development in Leyland, transforming a greenfield site into a fully prepared construction platform.

Our scope involved stripping topsoil, conducting a reduced level dig, and performing a controlled fill operation. Surplus material was assessed for suitability and, instead of being sent to landfill, was transported to our wash plant facility. There, we processed it into high-quality recycled aggregates, supporting our commitment to sustainability.

On-site, we constructed haul roads and compacted them to facilitate safe vehicle movement. We also created drainage runoff areas, directing water into a swale to manage surface water effectively. Additionally, we formed split-level piling mats to support the foundation works. Once piling was complete, the stone from the mats was reclaimed and sent to our wash plant, further reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency.

This project exemplifies our dedication to sustainable practices and efficient resource management in earthworks.
