In Phase One of this project, we developed a temporary car park for hospital staff during the refurbishment of the existing facility. Our team began by stripping the topsoil across the entire greenfield site, followed by a cut-and-fill operation to level the area. To ensure effective drainage, we imported Type 3 MOT aggregate—known for its reduced fines content and superior permeability compared to Type 1 MOT . This material was compacted in layers, with permeable geotextile membranes placed between each to prevent soil migration and enhance structural stability . The site’s perimeter was then landscaped using the stripped topsoil to create neat bunds, improving both aesthetics and safety. Finally, we installed kerbing to define the parking bays and complete the temporary car park, providing a durable and functional solution for hospital staff during the construction period.
