In Phase 2 of the Chester Hospital redevelopment, our team undertook comprehensive earthworks and site preparation. This involved the systematic removal of existing hard surfaces and thorough site clearance to facilitate the next stage of development. We focused on remediating the existing car park area, ensuring it met the required specifications. A significant aspect of the project was the cut and fill operation, where excavated materials were carefully managed to achieve the desired ground levels. To provide a stable foundation for future construction, we imported quarried 6F5 aggregate, which was meticulously laid and compacted to form durable pile mats. Demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, surplus materials from the site were transported to our wash plant using our fleet of tipper wagons. This strategic approach not only diverted waste from landfill but also enabled the recycling of materials into high-quality aggregates and sands, aligning with our dedication to environmentally responsible practices.
