Our team recently undertook significant earthworks on a greenfield site designated for a new housing development. Our scope of work commenced with a comprehensive topsoil strip across the entire site, ensuring the removal of all surface vegetation and soil to prepare for subsequent construction activities.

Following the topsoil removal, we executed a full cut-and-fill operation, carefully balancing the excavation and deposition of materials to achieve the required formation levels. This process involved importing 6F5 material using our fleet of tipper wagons. The imported stone was meticulously laid and compacted to form split-level pile mats, providing a stable foundation for future construction. Additionally, the same material was utilized to establish haul roads throughout the site, facilitating efficient movement of machinery and materials.

All operations were carried out in strict adherence to the temporary works design, ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards. To manage surplus material generated from the cut-and-fill process, we conducted a muck shift, responsibly transporting the excess material off-site for disposal or recycling.

This project exemplifies our capability to handle large-scale earthworks efficiently, providing a solid groundwork for the successful progression of housing developments.
