This project involved the comprehensive redevelopment of a former marketplace and shopping precinct. We were entrusted with the complete demolition of the outdated community hub and retail units, paving the way for a modern transformation.

A significant aspect of the project was the excavation of a basement beneath the existing market structure. Following the demolition, we undertook extensive site remediation to address any contamination and prepare the ground for future development. This process included the installation of a robust retaining wall constructed from Legata blocks, ensuring structural integrity and support for the surrounding areas.

The entire site underwent a meticulous cut and fill operation to achieve the desired ground levels. In an effort to promote sustainability and reduce waste, we processed the demolished materials on-site. These materials were crushed and repurposed as suitable fill, which was then laid and compacted to form a stable piling mat, ready for subsequent construction activities.

This project highlights our expertise in managing complex earthworks, from demolition and excavation to remediation and material recycling, ensuring a solid foundation for future developments. The whole site was completed to conform with temporary works designs.
