We undertook the remediation of a former hospital brownfield site, addressing significant subsurface peat deposits. Our task involved excavating the peat and replacing it with engineered clay sourced from higher ground within the site, ensuring a stable foundation for future development. To further enhance sustainability, we supplied and utilised recycled aggregates, including pipe bedding and 6F2, sourced from our recycling plant, reducing the need for quarried materials.

These recycled materials were strategically employed in compacting house plot piling mats and in the construction of shared access drives and footpaths, promoting eco-friendly practices. Additionally, we executed the excavation and formation of the main road box, preparing the site for subsequent construction phases.

Upon completion, the site was meticulously prepared, providing a solid and environmentally responsible foundation for groundworkers to commence the laying of concrete slabs and pouring of house foundations, facilitating the seamless progression of the development project.
